Let's Help Valentina
A real story of vulnerability, care and hope in Salvador de Bahia.
A small initiative created to help Valentina and her family live in safer, more dignified conditions.

Valentina's story
Valentina is a one-year-old girl who has attended our nursery school in Salvador de Bahia since she was five months old.
She lives with her family in a situation of severe social vulnerability.
In recent months she has been hospitalised several times for bronchopneumonia.
During some home visits, the Centre's sisters and educators discovered that the family cooked every day over an open fire near the house, because they could not afford to buy gas cylinders.
The constant smoke and the living conditions were seriously affecting the child's health.
Practical help born from listening
This specific situation gave rise to the "Let's Help Valentina" initiative.
The goal was simple but essential: to allow the family to cook safely, avoiding the smoke from the open fire near the house.
Thanks to the generosity of so many people, it was possible to support the family by buying gas cylinders and later a new cooker.
"Every small gesture can make a real difference to a family's life."

Thank you to everyone who made this act of kindness possible.
A daily presence alongside families
Valentina's story tells how the Centro Nossa Senhora Aparecida lives out its mission: through daily relationships, listening and being truly close to the most vulnerable families.
Many initiatives are born precisely from direct encounters with real situations experienced by the children welcomed every day at the Centre.

Thank you for helping Valentina
This initiative was made possible by the generosity of so many people who chose to share a gesture of kindness and care.
